Our Organization’s History
The idea behind Food Farm Democracy was to create closer relationships between consumers, their local farmers, and sustainable food systems. This was based on growing consumer interests in both healthy eating habits and environmental responsibility in farming. Thus, Food Farm Democracy began focusing on local agricultural education, raising awareness of local food systems, and providing support for local agriculture. Food Farm Democracy's focus since it was created has centered around increasing transparency in food practices and increasing community participation in local sustainable agriculture initiatives.

Community Growth
Food Farm Democracy has grown over time to include additional elements such as highlighting benefits of regenerative agriculture, including using ethical farming methods and supporting local food producers. Food Farm Democracy through its educational programs, community-based initiatives and outreach efforts has increased awareness of food access issues, environmental protection, and long term sustainability of agricultural production. These efforts have inspired many consumers and communities to make better educated decisions regarding their food consumption patterns and how to support them.

The Future
Food Farm Democracy will continue to be an advocate for sustainable agriculture and promote healthier food systems for generations to come. Food Farm Democracy supports the use of collaborative approaches by working together with farmers, educators, and local communities to advance the practice of environmentally aware and responsibly managed farming practices. In the future, Food Farm Democracy aims to contribute toward creating a more sustainable, more transparent and more community based food system.
